Effective March 20, 2013
Several LIGRC members had asked for a review of the current Puppy Referral policy.
The Board discussed the current policy at length. In addition, the Board examined
the policies of many of the East Coast Golden Retriever Clubs. As a result of this
investigation and discussion, the Board has decided that our Puppy Referral policy
will be as follows:
-
Effective immediately, the Puppy Referral person will ask the owner of the litter
the date when the litter was whelped and this date will be posted on the website.
-
Effective immediately, listings of litters will appear for a maximum of eight (8)
weeks. If necessary, breeders must call the Puppy Referral person to renew their
listings.
-
Effective immediately, following our parent club, GRCA's guidelines, both the dam
and sire of every litter posted on the LIGRC web site must be over 2 years of age;
both the dam and sire of every litter posted must have the appropriate health
clearances including a minimum of OFA/Penn Hip, Elbows, Heart and Annual Eye
clearances.
-
Effective immediately, listings on the puppy referral page will only be accepted from
members in good standing which means all dues, pledges, debts, etc. MUST be paid in full
by the due date of the obligation.
-
As of January 1, 2014, any member wishing to list a litter with
Puppy Referral MUST have chaired a committee or worked at two club
events in the prior calendar year.
